After Care

Aftercare & Recovery
What to expect after your baby's circumcision — and how Rabbi Joseph guides you through every step.

WHAT TO EXPECT

The first 24-48 hours:

  • Some redness and swelling around the area is normal

  • A small amount of bleeding at the first diaper change is normal

  • Your baby may be fussier than usual — this settles within a few hours

  • Keep the area clean and dry at each diaper change

Days 3-7:

  • Swelling begins to reduce

  • Yellow crust may form around the area — this is part of normal healing

  • Baby returns to normal feeding and sleeping patterns

Days 7-15:

  • Full healing typically completes by day 10-15

  • Area returns to normal appearance
